da blaze casino: Arsenal’s hunt to line up the perfect replacement for Aaron Ramsey has gathered momentum in recent weeks and it now appears they are interested in going on another spending spree in Germany.
da stake casino: The Gunners are reportedly interested in signing midfielder Julian Weigl, who has been sat on the bench of Borussia Dortmund for most of the season.
According to a report by German publication Sport Bild, via Football London, Arsenal’s head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, is planning to head to his former club Dortmund again to lure Weigl to the Emirates and join Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who both made the move to North London this year.
A severe lack of game-time this season could tempt the 23-year-old Weigl away from the Bundesliga and the idea of joining a club like as Arsenal should sound promising to him.
Arsenal have been linked with moves for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, while Villarreal’s Pablo Fornals has also been on the radar to fill the void once Ramsey leaves at the end of the season.
The Welshman has been told by the club that he won’t be offered a new deal to remain at Arsenal and will leave on a free transfer with Bayern Munich the favourites to secure his services.
Weigl, on the other hand, has had to play second fiddle to Axel Witsel and Thomas Delaney who have both formed part of the Dortmund team who are currently top of the German league and recently beat rivals Munich at the Westfalenstadion.
Whether Arsenal are eyeing the German international as the main replacement for Ramsey remains to be seen as manager Unai Emery might be eyeing more than one addition. If he is however, it could be yet another wonderful signing by the Sven Mislintat regime.
