da poker: Everton are in the hunt for Borussia Dortmund youngster Emre Mor, but they face a battle to sign him, according to The Sun.
What’s the word?
da pinnacle: The Merseyside outfit are reportedly impressed with the 20-year-old, who joined Dortmund from FC Nordsjaelland last summer.
Mor failed to win a regular starting place in Thomas Tuchel’s first team, making just 12 appearances in total.
Despite that, The Sun claims that Liverpool, Roma and Inter Milan are all interested in the youngster.
The report claims that Dortmund will allow Mor to move on, and that the attacker is keen to test himself in the Premier League.
Is Mor worth a bid?
It is believed that Italian club Fiorentina have submitted a £10.7m bid, but Dortmund are looking for an offer in the region of £12m.
Given that Everton have spent more than £100m in this transfer window already, £12m sounds like loose change.
Even though it is important to boost the first team with proven talent, it is equally as vital to improve the youth ranks.
At the age of 20 and the fact that he is in the Dortmund senior team, Mor is at the stage where he could contribute at Premier League level.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman gave youngsters, including Tom Davies and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, chances last season, so Mor would feel confident of getting some game time if he impresses.
