da dobrowin: Marouane Fellaini hopes it will not be too long before he returns from the knee injury that was originally going to keep him out of action for three weeks.
da betsul: He picked up the problem during Everton’s 2-2 draw against Wigan on Saturday. He is now unable to play in the next two World Cup qualifiers for his national side Belgium against Serbia and Scotland. He has still travelled with the Belgian team, but will return to Everton on Monday.
Fellaini has had a scan on the injury, which was not discovered until 48 hours after the game.
However, the midfielder insists the injury is nothing to panic about.
“I am currently suffering from a knee injury. Fortunately, it is not too serious, but I will have to miss the two games with Belgium.
“I am hoping to be back playing for Everton as soon as possible. I am extremely disappointed and I now have to rest in order to get back to full fitness, so I can help the team with some important games coming up,” he said.
Fellaini is an important player for Everton and the club will surely be hoping that the midfielder is fit for their Merseyside clash with Liverpool, which will be played the Sunday after their next Premier League clash against QPR.
He has had some impressive performances for his team so far this season, particularly in Everton’s win against Manchester United in which he scored and terrorised the Red Devils defence.
