Liverpool looked almost certain to sign Lyon’s Nabil Fekir this summer, but the deal for the Frenchman fell through under mysterious circumstances.
There have been suggestions that Fekir’s medical revealed long-term problems with a knee surgery he had in 2015, which if true would certainly rule out any future move to the Reds.
If a deal for Fekir is well and truly off the cards, his young teammate could be the perfect alternative.

20 year-old Aouar has been at Lyon since he was just 11 years old, and his intelligence and technique at such a young age has wowed spectators in Ligue 1.
The youngster can play anywhere across the midfield, but is best in that advanced position just off the left, exactly where Philippe Coutinho played in his final season at Anfield.
Aouar is incredibly smooth on the ball, has superb vision, and could be the perfect long-term replacement for the increasingly injury-prone Adam Lallana.
