da bet nacional: Rangers are preparing a contract offer for Joe Aribo, potentially beating other interested clubs to his signature, according to website Football Insider.
What’s the story?
Aribo helped Charlton Athletic gain promotion to the English Championship last season but with his contract expiring this summer he is one of the hottest potential free agents on the market right now.
Football Insider say that the Gers are ready to offer a ‘bumper, long-term contract’ in an effort to win the race for his signature, with a host of British clubs said to be interested.

The outlet reckon ‘tentative’ discussions have already taken place between the Ibrox side and the player’s representatives.
Rangers will be able to offer a significant pay increase over what’s on offer from Charlton despite their new second-tier status, states the report.
Worth the fuss?
Aribo has certainly taken League One by storm recently, scoring an impressive ten goals and assisting five times from midfield during Charlton’s promotion bid.
With players such as Lassana Coulibaly and Graham Dorrans offering little to Steven Gerrard’s team last season, the Gers could certainly do with fresh ideas in the middle of the park and the 22-year-old has the attacking ambition to make an impact in the final third.
Signing Aribo would be something of a coup considering he is wanted man by a host of other clubs this summer.
If they can show a prospect like the Charlton man wants to play his football at Ibrox, it would be vindication of the project Gerrard is building and could result in the arrival of more young British talents.
A midfield unit of Steven Davis, Scott Arfield, Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo would be exciting for Rangers supporters, with three of the four starting and another providing serious competition and back-up.
Without a transfer fee involved, going all out to offer him the contract he needs to move to Ibrox should be a real priority for the recruitment team at the club.
